About Me & My Blog

Hi. My name's Steff and I'm the girl that grew everything. Well not quite, but I would if I could. I'm sort of a plant hoarder (although a fairly organized one) and if I won the lottery I guarantee I'd buy myself a big ol' greenhouse and fill it. I'm just a twenty-something girl who has a casual interest in botany and growing things in my little one-bedroom apartment. I'm particularly fascinated by exotic/tropical plants but I like any plant really.

I'm also kind of a do-it-yourself junkie so It's likely I'll have a lot of that here too. If I can make it on a short budget I sure will. Likewise, if I can reuse or repurpose it I'm going to figure out a way to do it.

I'm currently a biology student (=constantly broke) at a state university and I love it. I'm headed toward healthcare but I enjoy variety in my life and like to learn new things so I dabble in lots of fields of knowledge.

Here I'd like to explore my experiences growing some of my plants and dealing with a confined (urban) space in Northern America as well as share any nifty advice or projects.

By no means am I any sort of an expert but I'm a pretty good researcher and I'd like to share what I learn with anyone else who maybe has a passing interest in growing and/or learning about bananas, theobroma cacao, pomegranates, birds of paradise... etc. and anything else I come into contact with. Likewise I welcome any questions you might have. I can't guarantee answers, but I know a bit and a lot of times if I don't I know where (or from whom) to get the answer.

Happy planting!

Steff
